In 2021, Brightspire made the exciting announcement that Scotia Village would see a new phase of growth on campus to be completed in 2023. With a successful development plan in place, the east village is bustling with construction equipment and talented crews overseeing the build.
“The East village expansion began in earnest on January 16th”, Randy Hopkins, Construction Manager, commented. “We have completed all the land clearing tasks and have begun bringing the low levels up to final grade for the Villa and Cottages of the East neighborhood.” While weather can play a role in the progress, the team strives to keep the schedule running smoothly. “Our general contractor for vertical construction will be Southern Builders out of Rockingham, NC. They will begin foundation work on the Villa unit around the first week of March,” says Hopkins.
All residential accommodations included in the expansion will offer two-bedroom floorplans, ranging from approximately 1,337 to 2,020 square feet. The modern floor plans will offer garages and walk-in closets. The accommodations will feature quality interior finishes including granite countertops, tile backsplash, crown molding and stainless-steel appliances.
These new homes are part of our larger expansion plans that include adding new amenities and an enhanced wellness center. The wellness center addition will offer a half gym for pickleball, a walking track, as well as an additional aerobics room.
