On Monday, October 2nd the Brightspire Olympics kicked off at Glenaire with cheerleading,dancing and a parade of all the athletes ready to compete.. Each community in the Brightspire family were represented by teams in their respective color shirts, and pom-poms. The first competition began at 10:30am, and continued throughout the afternoon.
Since 2008, the inaugural year of the Brightspire Olympics, preparation for the games has continued to inspire residents to participate in physical activity and friendly competition. This year events ranged from chair volleyball, Bocce, corn toss, golf, billiards, walking and more. Throughout the week, the athletes will continue competing at each community, giving friends time to reconnect.
